Done report
Everything I do on your behalf is in the done report – with details, undo and an honest estimate of how much time it saved.
The report
The Done page is my account of what I did. At the top it says how many things I handled for you in the chosen period, switchable between Today, Yesterday and 7 days. Below that I estimate the minutes you didn’t spend on email. The calculation is open and rather cautious: a few minutes per sent reply, one per filed email, far less per sorted-out ad.
Then come the groups, each only if there was something:
- Handled in your front office – every row expands: what it was about, what exactly went out to whom or was forwarded, and Open mail. If I handled something on my own, the handled by me tag is shown (What I may do on my own).
- Filtered out – ads and sales emails that don’t fit you, with the most frequent senders and a link to look (Sorting out).
- Invoices filed – what routines filed in Drive or your bookkeeping, with total and log (Routines).
- Senders invited – vetting replies to sorted-out senders (Replying with Consent+).
- Filed automatically – taken out of your inbox by your category rules.
- Your instructions carried out – your instructions that I carried out (Giving instructions).
- Learned – rules I learned from your corrections, with a link to settings.
Whatever can be taken back carries a Undo button while the window is open (Undo).
Done elsewhere
At the very bottom sits the group Done by you. Items land there that resolved themselves without me doing anything:
- Filed or deleted by you – you archived or deleted the email directly in Gmail.
- Answered by you – you replied yourself, in Gmail or from the email view.
- Handled yourself – you chose Reply myself in the item.
I show this only for completeness. It counts neither towards my tally nor towards the minutes saved.
Where else you see it
In the front office, Done today opens the History with the short version of the day. On the Desk the number sits in the out tray. And if you’ve turned on notifications, the morning briefing names what I did yesterday and the daily wrap-up what I did today (Notifications).
If something’s wrong
If the report is missing something I should have done, check the period: Today counts from midnight. If something’s there you didn’t want, use Undo while it’s offered, and tell me with an instruction or a rule how it should run from now on (Sender rules, What I may do on my own).
