Manual
How I work, what I do on my own and what I never do – and how to set everything up the way you need it.
Getting started
- What Consent+ isI’m your chief of staff for your mailbox. I read your mail, handle what I’m allowed to, and put the rest in front of you so you can decide in seconds.
- Connecting accountsI work inside your Gmail mailbox. You can connect several accounts, switch between them and disconnect any of them at any time.
- Mac app and phoneYou can reach me in the browser, as an installed app and on the Mac in a dedicated app with a counter in the menu bar.
- Features one at a timeI introduce new features the moment you need them – one after the other. If you want to see everything right away, you can switch.
Every day
- Front officeThe front office holds only what really needs you – every email with my suggestion and a reason. You decide with one click.
- Send, file, vetEvery item has one main action. You sign off, file, or let me vet – and can undo any action shortly afterwards.
- Quick actionsHover over an entry in the front office – then you handle it straight from the list, without opening it.
- Setting asideNot now? I’ll bring an item back later – in three hours, tomorrow morning or on Monday. It returns by itself.
- Giving instructionsJust tell me what to do – in the field at the top, via ✦ on the phone, or about a specific email. I do it or put it in front of you.
- Done reportEverything I do on your behalf is in the done report – with details, undo and an honest estimate of how much time it saved.
- DeskThe same mail as in the front office, just as a desk seen from above: folders, calendar, sticky notes, Rolodex. You can switch between list and desk any time.
- InboxThe inbox shows all your email like Gmail, with my categories and folders. Re-sorting takes one tap – and I learn from it.
Mail that doesn’t need you
- Sorting outI take ads and cold outreach that don't suit you out of your inbox and file newsletters in their folder. Nothing is deleted – and I remember every correction.
- OffersI split ads and cold outreach into “matching” and “unsuitable” based on your interests. For offers submitted and vetted through Consent+, you decide with one click: interested (offer a meeting or reply differently – e.g. with a question), not right now, or no.
- Replying with Consent+If you want, I reply to cold outreach politely on your behalf and invite the sender to submit their offer through Consent+. It only reaches you if it matches your topics.
- Conversation passIf you're interested in an offer or reply to cold outreach yourself, that one conversation always gets through. New unsolicited offers from the same sender are still checked again.
- Attention valueFor each account you set what a sender pays for a matching offer to reach you. From “In demand” up, I promise a decision within 7 days on your behalf. Half the price goes to your subscription as credit.
- AI agents with a verified identityMore and more offers are written by AI agents. With AgentID I know who is really submitting – you decide whether agents may knock at all, I ask follow-up questions for you, and you connect your own agents without copying a key.
- Sender rulesYou can block individual senders, always let them through or have them filed straight away – with one click in the email or by instruction, such as “Daily Brief is a newsletter”.
- Let me know when someone writesTell me whose email you're waiting for. As soon as it arrives in one of your mailboxes, I send you a notification – and the email stays in your inbox.
Meetings & tasks
- Connecting your calendar and your dayI show you your whole calendar, find upcoming events and change them with you – agenda, attendees and attachments included. I only notify attendees when you explicitly choose to.
- Meeting requestsWhen someone asks for a meeting, I find three free times, hold them in your calendar and prepare a reply. Nothing gets added and nobody gets invited until you agree.
- TasksTell me what you don't want to forget and I'll note it in Google Tasks – with a date, a time, a link to the email or as a follow-up task. From the emails you send, I suggest reminders.
Money & paperwork
- InvoicesI spot invoices in your emails and show you what you still need to transfer, what will be debited and what's already paid. I remind you before the deadline. Paying is up to you.
- Bank reconciliation with MoneyMoneyIn the Mac app I match your outgoing payments from MoneyMoney against open invoices and tick off what's been paid. Only outgoing payments reach the server, and I delete them after 60 days.
- RoutinesA routine is something I do for you again and again, such as filing invoices in Google Drive and uploading them to FastBill or Lexware Office. I start with suggestions and only work on my own once you want me to.
- FilesA file is where I collect everything about one matter with several people involved – emails from all accounts, facts with sources, documents from Drive and the current status. I assign new emails myself and ask when I'm unsure.
People
- ContactsI know everyone you write to or meet – from your mailbox, calendar and address book. For each person I show circle, warmth, history and what's open, every fact with its source.
- LinkedIn and Apple ContactsI bring in role, company and phone number of your contacts from your own LinkedIn data export and your Apple address book. That way I notice job changes and merge people who use several addresses.
- One person, several addressesIf someone writes to you from a work address one day and a private one the next, I suggest merging both into one person. I only merge after you confirm – and you can split them again at any time.
- VIPsI never filter out your VIPs' emails, always put them up for decision and tell you about urgent ones even during quiet hours. Add a whole company with @company.com.
- NetworkAt most three small things a day that do your relationships good – congratulate, thank, get back in touch – each with a reason and a ready draft. You do the sending.
- Goals & productsTell me what you offer and to whom. Then I can spot who in your network fits and, at the right moment, suggest an offer or a referral request – always as a draft; you do the sending.
Setting up your chief of staff
- What I'm calledYou can give me a name of my own. In English I'm always your chief of staff; the three forms in settings only change the German wording. The choice applies to every account in your group.
- What I may do on my ownI start carefully and put everything in front of you. You set per area what I may handle myself – and some things I never decide alone.
- ConnectionsUnder “Connections” you see what I can do for you outside your inbox – with Google, accounting and other services. Each service says up front what I may do and what never.
- Your interestsYour interest profile tells me which offers suit you and which I sort out. You describe it in your own words; I turn it into a list of topics that you correct.
- NotificationsI notify you on your phone or computer when something is ready in your front office – bundled rather than one by one, and quiet at night. You decide how much the notification reveals.
- News from ThomasThomas Huhn builds Consent+. Every now and then he writes about what is new and what is coming next. Subscribing takes one click, unsubscribing works at any time.
Several accounts & subscription
- Several accountsEach mailbox is its own account with me. Linked accounts form an account group – you switch without signing in again and can see everything together. Shared mailboxes stay cleanly separated.
- Subscription and ProSorting, filing and replying to cold outreach are free. With Pro I write replies in your style, automatically if you like. One subscription covers your whole account group, and credit from your attention value is applied to it.
Privacy & security
- Your dataWhat I store from your emails, where data goes, which AI models in the EU read along – and how you delete it all again. The privacy policy is binding; here are the essentials in short.
For vendors
- Submitting an offerFor providers: if a Consent+ user's chief of staff invited you, you submit your offer via a link. A traffic light shows beforehand whether it fits – and only what fits lands in the inbox.
- Prices and refunds for providersThe recipient decides what a delivery costs – 10, 30 or 80 credits, or a custom price. Your first delivery is free at “Open”. If the check rejects it on green or yellow, or the recipient doesn't decide as promised, you get your credits back.
